Our Methods… Mill River Woodworks employs a hybrid woodworking approach, blending the use of traditional hand tools with modern power tools. This combination enables a high attention to detail while ensuring consistency in the final product. 

Our Materials… Our furniture and accessories are crafted using solid hardwoods, such as maple, walnut and cherry, locally sourced whenever possible. These fine materials, combined with high quality finishes, result in products with enduring beauty. The use of natural, high quality woods means a longer life for your furniture piece, which is better for our planet! 

Our team… Kevin Brooks is the craftsman and maker behind Mill River Woodworks. Kevin is self-taught, having developed his craft over many years of woodworking as a hobby. Perhaps making furniture was his destiny, as his first job as a teenager was selling wooden furniture in a local store! He was always handy and enjoyed woodworking, but once becoming a homeowner, he quickly realized that much of the furniture available commercially did not meet his expectations for quality and craftsmanship. From there, he honed his skills, making pieces for his own home and for family and friends. And 30 years later, after retiring from a career as a paramedic, he brings his passion for woodworking and furniture making to a new audience with the launch of Mill River Woodworks.
